Peak District & Derbyshire
Branding &
Web Design Pitch Work
Peak District & Derbyshire's website had feedback that navigation and overall experience felt overwhelming and unclear. Here is my starting point to address those issues:
I started with the rebrand to allow me to understand the target audience and their requirements. The key word from the research was heritage, making the brand feel traditional with a rooted message of journey and storytelling. The branding was inspired from 1920's art deco travel posters which used beautifully crafted sans Serif typography. The colour palette was created to add maturity and value with rural theme.
Using the new branding I could visualise the aesthetics of the website. Balancing the need for visually engaging content with intuitive navigation, accommodating the vast amount of information, and ensuring accessibility for a broad audience were key challenges I had to overcome. I designed a website that showcased the Peak District & Derbyshire's unique offerings, enabled easy exploration for prioritised information, and enhanced user engagement.
